We offer up some answers to questions we are most often asked.
Q: Can I use credit cards safely on this site?
A: Yes. We offer PayPal Express who handles all the transactions so your security is guaranteed. We do not store customer credit card details at all, we also offer BACS transfer if you wish to use this. You can also see the green padlock in the url bar at the top left of the website, so that shows we also encrypt our site for extra security.
Q: Do you offer a warranty with refurbished printers?
A: Yes we do. All refurbished printers come with a 3-6 month on-site warranty depending on the model and age of the printer. They will have all new service parts fitted before dispatch and will then be looked after as required by our team of engineers. It is important that during the warranty period only OUR engineers work on the printer or this will void your warranty. The engineer will always be local to your region unless it is a remote repair. Also please note the warranty does not cover accidental damage or misuse by the end user.
The customer is solely responsible for testing any material they would like to use through the printer. They will need to provide samples for us to test before buying the machine. We will not accept responsibility for issues with any materials that were not tested prior to purchase.
The warranty will only be valid whilst using our inks or those of the machine manufacturer. Consequential loss is not covered.
Q: Do you offer a warranty on print heads?
A: We do offer a 90 Day guarantee on print heads, which we have sold to end users. For it to be applicable the customer must ensure they are using OUR own branded ink products ONLY and that the head is installed by a qualified engineer.
Also, the printer must be serviced at the manufacturer’s recommended intervals, using genuine parts like cap-tops, dampers, etc. (Normally once per year).
Any claim that is paid out will be based on mileage used on the print head. For example: If the print head is halfway through its expected life and it fails, only a 50% credit would be paid out.
The warranty would not cover print heads that are damaged or scratched by head strikes.
There can be no warranty claim for a replacement head based solely on one nozzle missing from a print head nozzle test after installation… it needs to be two or more.
The Print Head can only be replaced under warranty on one occasion during the warranty period. Warranty is non transferable.
It is important that during the warranty period only OUR engineers or those authorised by the manufacturer work on the printer or this will void your warranty. Consequential loss is not covered.
Our Warranty will not cover the following Ink products – Mimaki SS21 OEM Ink Colours: Orange White & Metallic or Roland EcoSol Max 1/2/3 Colours: White and Metallic.
Q: Are your inks guaranteed?
A: As long as the inks have been purchased directly from ourselves and not through a third party, then we offer an ink stream warranty of which details are available upon request. The ink stream warranty is void if a customer goes longer than 6 months without ordering our inks.
Q: Do you provide technical support and spare parts back-up?
A: Most Digital Ink distributors are either engineers and have many years’ experience in the inkjet field. We have skilled chemists, printer engineers and sales staff, who are specialists in inkjet printing and know each application in detail. Our in-house support team has access to an extensive range of spare parts for most machines.
Q: Are your inks colour matched, and to which Ink?
A: We manufacture a wide range of products which are colour matched to the OEM inks. This results in a smooth transition, with no need to re-profile your printer, or to adjust existing print drivers or RIP settings.
We can assist with colour management and ICC profiling in some cases, so please do not hesitate to contact us if you wish to discuss this further.
Our terms for delivery, returns and refunds
We will offer next day delivery on all orders received by 3.30pm. If the item/s are out of stock, the order will be sent as soon as we can deliver again.
Refunds/Returns policy
Incorrect items can be returned within 3 days if in original packaging and unopened. These will be replaced with correct items within 48 hours of receipt.
In the event that items are damaged in transit, we will replace them free of charge and deliver a replacement. However, we will require notice of damaged goods within 24 hours of delivery or no replacement will be offered.
Product Refunds
Items can be returned within 7 days of purchase if unopened and in original packaging. There will be a restocking fee of 15% taken against the credit to cover admin costs and charges. This applies to all products except print heads. The nature of this product means once it has been dispatched we don’t accept returns.
Card Purchase Refunds
Kindly note that card refunds can take up to 30 days via PayPal or credit cards – this is out of our control and is purely up to the card provider or bank and their terms and conditions. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
